Welcome to Employer Self Service

Employer Self Service (ESS) is a secure, free, internet based service for employers within the Royal County of Berkshire Pension Fund. It enables employers to view and amend their member data held on our pension administration system – Altair.

ESS offers a range of features including:

  • Member search
  • View member's personal details
  • New starter creation
  • Update of general information
  • Update of part-time hours and weeks
  • Benefit calculations
  • View member documentation

How do I sign up for ESS?

Users must register for ESS. Providing that the registration request is authorised by your Pension Liaison Officer (PLO), an activation key is generated and distributed to you by email, using the address you have provided at registration.

Once registered, your access to ESS is subject to the validation of a username and password and the correct response to a security question.

Please note in order for your ESS registration to be approved please also arrange for completion of the Employer Contact Information Sheet. We request details of the following information in order to ensure our employer database is up to date:

  • Pension Liaison Officer (PLO)
  • HR Provider(s)
  • Payroll Provider(s)
  • IDRP Officer
  • Occupational Health Physician
